Sanchez was named to the 2012-13 All-BIG EAST Conference Team on Thursday, May 9. The Mazatlan, Mexico native led the Golden Eagles in scoring average in 2012-13 with 75.75 strokes per round and carded the team's low-round of 68 in the third round of the Wendy's Kiawah Classic.
