After watching BYU rally to beat Iona last night, the
Marquette University men's basketball team learned their next opponent and was
ready to begin preparations for Thursday's second round NCAA Championship game
in Louisville
Following breakfast, the Golden Eagles departed the team
hotel for Cardinal Arena, on the campus of the University of Louisville, for a
short, one-hour practice that covered some of the game plan for BYU, which was already in place.
MU then headed to the KFC Yum! Center for today's
media obligations where they received a box lunch in the locker room to help
replenish their energy.
Jae Crowder and Darius Johnson-Odom, along with Coach Buzz,
attended a scheduled press conference at the arena which started at 1:35 p.m.
ET. Meanwhile, the locker room was open to members of the media to interview
players who were not at the press conference.
Afterward, the team practiced for about 40 minutes in front
of NCAA tournament fans, as is mandatory. It's usually pretty low-key, but a
good chance for the local basketball fans, and others who have traveled in, to
get to see all of the teams, take pictures and get autographs.
Tonight the team will relax at the hotel and watch more game
film on BYU. March Madness is here. Now, it's win or go home.
