  • Series History: Marquette leads 65-44
  • Senior forward Lazar Hayward's 19 points moved him past Dean Meminger and into 11th place on the all-time scoring list at Marquette. Hayward's 1,643 points remain four behind Damon Key for 10th-place all time. Hayward also recorded his sixth double-double of the season with 14 rebounds.
  • Sophomore guard Darius Johnson-Odom scored 10 of Marquette's first 11 points in the contest and finished with 21. Johnson-Odom has led MU in scoring in three of the last four games.
  • Marquette was 20-for-22 from the free throw line over the final 6:41 of the game. In that span, MU's lone field goal was a lay up by David Cubillan with 1:39 left to play.
  • Marquette started the second half on a 15-4 run to take a commanding 47-23 lead and held its largest advantage of the contest at 51-25.
  • Junior guard Dwight Buycks scored 14 points, marking the first time since Jan.6 that the Milwaukee native has reached double figures.
  • Marquette hit a season-high 36 free throws, topping its previous high of 23 against North Florida on Dec. 19. MU's 44 free throws attempted was also a season high.
  • MU used an 11-5 advantage on the offensive glass in the first half  to outscore DePaul 14-1 in second-chance points.
  • Marquette took donations as fans left the arena to assist the relief efforts in Haiti. All money will be turned over to Catholic Relief Services and the Jesuit Refugee Service.
