Senior Lazar Hayward was named first team all-league by Sporting News and also earned a spot on their fifth team All-America squad.  The Buffalo, NY, native was tabbed to the All-BIG EAST Second Team roster on Sunday in a voting by the league's coaches.

The Marquette travel party arrived in New York Monday night and Tuesday's activities included a morning practice and afternoon study hall session.  Head coach Buzz Williams and members of the coaching staff will head to Madison Square Garden this afternoon to scout the UConn/St. John's game.  The Golden Eagles face the winner of that game on Wednesday at 1 p.m. CT.
