Former Marquette University goalkeeper Matt Pyzdrowski last night saw his first action between the posts as a professional soccer player. "Pyz," who signed a contract this past offseason with the Portland Timbers (USSF Division 2), helped his squad to a 3-0 decision over visiting AC St. Louis at PGE Park.
Pyzdrowski played the final 10 minutes of the match earning the combined shutout. After the match he tweeted, "Got my first professional regular season time tonight in our 3-0 victory. Thanks for an amazing night Portland, lets get another one Sunday!"
