As classes for the spring semester wind down and final exams draw near, Elly Strother earned two distinct honors for her academic achievement during her final days on campus.
Strother, a senior women's tennis player who is a nursing major set to graduate this May, has been selected as the recipient of the 2010 Berens Award and the 2010 Delta Gamma Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau Outstanding Senior Student Award.
The Berens Awards is given to a senior who has been selected by the faculty as having demonstrated above average academic achievement, outstanding clinical performance, commitment to ongoing professional development, and qualities consistent with the ideals and principles of moral conduct.
The Delta Gamma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau is a nursing honor society at Marquette dedicated to improving the health of people worldwide and committed to furthering nursing research in health care delivery and public policy.
