Marquette University sophomore Ben Sieg defeated Aaron Gavin 3 and 2 earlier today in the semifinals of the Wisconsin State Golf Association Match Play event being held at Whispering Springs Golf Club in Fond du Lac.
With the victory, Sieg adnvances to the championship match where he will face either 50-year-old Kevin Cahill (Waukesha, Wis.) or recent University of Wisconsin grad Jordan Elsen.

Sieg will attempt to become the first Marquette player to win the WSGA Match Play Championship since Dustin Schwab took home the trophy in 2008.
