Incoming Marquette University freshman Corey Konieczki is coming off a big victory last week at the American Junior Golf Association's (AJGA) Midwest Junior Players Championship in Mundelein, Ill.

Konieczki, a native of Rockford, Ill. and 2010 graduate of Boylan Catholic High School, won the Boys Division by two strokes at the par-72 Pine Meadow Golf Club on Friday, July 23.

After firing an opening-round 69, he went on to finish at 5-under-par 211 for the tournament.
