Members of the women's soccer team who have spent the summer playing for FC Milwaukee will travel to Dallas, Texas for the Women's Premier Soccer League Final Four this weekend. There FC Milwaukee will take on WPSL East Conference Champion Boston Aztec July 31 at 5 p.m. Should FC Milwaukee defeat Boston, it will play in the championship game Sunday, Aug. 1 at 1 p.m.
FC Milwaukee, whose members include Lauren Acree, Katie Hishmeh, Cara and Emily Jacobson, Ally Miller, Kate Reigle, Ashley Stemmeler and Stephanie Vasos, defeated FSA Freedom (Miami, Fla.) 3-1 on July 24 to win the Midwest Conference title and earn its spot in the WPSL Final Four. Incoming freshman Kate Reigle assisted on the game winning goal.
The Golden Eagles on the squad will encounter a familiar face in Becky Ryan who is a member of the Aztec. The Aztec are affiliated with the Boston Breakers of Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) and have several Breakers on its roster.
