Jimmy Butler scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds, helping lead his squad to an 81-61 victory in the 2010 Scion Dental Milwaukee Pro-Am championship Sunday evening at the Al McGuire Center.
Ousmane Barro chipped in 10 points and eight rebounds and former UW-Milwaukee standout Avery Smith added 16 points. Leading by five points at the half, Butler's squad led by 15 points after three quarters and cruised to the victory. The senior forward missed a majority of the pro-am season with an injury, but returned for Sunday's action.
Sophomore guard Junior Cadougan, who was tabbed the league's most valuable player, collected 10 points, five assists and three rebounds in a losing effort.
Former MU standout Wesley Matthews recorded the league's first triple-double in the consolation title game, finishing with 14 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists in his squad's victory. Trend Blackledge led the team in scoring.
The eight-team league concluded its first season with Sunday's tournament format. The teams played a total of eight dates, beginning in early July. Seven of the eight rosters featured at least one current Marquette player.
