Former Marquette standout Lazar Hayward made the most of extended playing time in Minnesota's preseason finale against the Bucks Friday night in his return to the Bradley Center, helping the Timberwolves to a 119-118 overtime victory.
Hayward chipped in eight points, six rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes of action off the bench. He knocked down a pair of 3-pointers during a key run late in the second half and assisted on two key baskets down the stretch.
Minnesota finished the preseason 6-2 overall and opens the regular season Wednesday night when the team hosts Sacramento.
