For the second consecutive year, the Marquette men's soccer team earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award. Louis Bennett's squad (3.03 GPA) was one of 195 men's teams to be honored, its third such award since 2000.

All 634 teams earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award posted a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2009-10 academic year. MU was one of 129 schools to have both the men's and women's teams recognized, and one of six in the BIG EAST.
