Bob Gansler, a graduate of Marquette University, was one of five people selected for the National Soccer Hall of Fame Class of 2011. Gansler, who received his undergrad at MU in 1964 and a graduate degree in 1968, will join Cobi Jones, Eddie Pope, Earnie Stewart and Bruce Marray.

Gansler was head coach of the U.S. men's national team from 1989 until 1991 and guided the squad to the 1990 World Cup, the team's first appearance in 40 years.
