Former Marquette University golfers Mike McDonald and Kyle Murphy are currently tied for second place, and will be paired together for today's final round of the Wisconsin State Golf Association State Amateur Championship at Maple Bluff Country Club.

McDonald leaped into contention after firing 4-under-par 32 on the back nine yesterday, finishing with a third-round 68.

Murphy, who also served as an assistant golf coach for one season at MU, finished runner up at last year's weather-shortened event.
