Marquette Athletics will be well represented once again at the Briggs & Al's Run & Walk, hosted on the University's campus on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The men's and women's basketball teams will meet with the Children's Champions prior to the race and then move to the starting line to encourage all of the participants as they begin.  The men's and women's lacrosse programs, both student-athletes and staffs, will all be competing in the 8K event.  

Members of the women's soccer program and men's and women's track & field teams will also be competing.  A current MU team member or alumni is expected to compete for the overall title on both the men's and women's side.

Head men's basketball coach Buzz Williams will also address the participants immediately before the race begins.

Briggs & Al's Run & Walk has raised more than $12 million dollars with the help of outstanding community support. Corporate sponsorships and the pledge campaign are critically important components of the event.
