MILWAUKEE - Redshirt senior Tyler Leverington of the Marquette University men's track and field team placed second overall at the 35th annual Briggs & Al's Run & Walk for Children's Hospital last Saturday morning in downtown Milwaukee.
Leverington, who ran for five years at North Dakota State before deciding to attend Marquette University Law School to use his last season of eligibility, completed the 8-kilometer course in a time of 24:54.
MU's head cross country and assistant track and field coach, Mike Nelson, finished 23rd overall in 29:13.
Several other Marquette athletics programs were represented in the field of competitors, including men's and women's lacrosse.
