Preferred Seating Notes:
1. The sole tangible benefit preferred seat holders receive is parking at the BMO Harris Bradley Center (Exact amount TBD: Approx. $340). This tangible benefit is not permitted to be claimed as a deduction under IRS guidelines. Parking location is not differentiated for holders of different seating levels; hence, the benefit for parking is the same at all levels. However many seats the ticket holder purchases, they still receive a single parking pass; again the benefit is the same at all levels.
2. Blue & Gold Fund donations for each preferred season ticket have a quid pro quo discount of 20% in accord with the IRS 80/20 rule. In other words, 80% of the cost of each recommended Preferred seat donation minus the cost of each parking pass is the appropriate tax deduction amount.
Example: You purchase two preferred seats with a recommended $3,600 Blue & Gold Fund donation each. The tax deduction will be the $7,200 Blue & Gold Fund donation minus the cost of the parking pass ($340) multiplied by 80%. You would be allowed $5,488 in tax deductions.
