Marquette Basketball Preferred Season Tickets

The Blue & Gold Fund offers over 400 Preferred Seats for Marquette men's home basketball games at the Bradley Center. Preferred Seats are located courtside in sections 103 & 104, in the first four rows of sections 200, 201 & 227, the first six rows of sections 213, 214 & 215, and newly added seats on the end court in front of section 102. Preferred seating is available to EVERYONE (subject to availability).

Preferred season ticket holders have the option to renew seats in the preferred section each year as long as the required per seat donation is contributed to the Blue & Gold Fund by the posted deadline. Preferred ticket holders receive special benefits commensurate with their level of giving to the Blue & Gold Fund as well.

There is availability for the 2011-2012 basketball season. Please contact Brian Bowsher for more information on securing your Preferred Seats: 414-288-3040 or brian.bowsher@marquette.edu.

Preferred Seating Notes:

1. The sole tangible benefit preferred seat holders receive is parking at the Bradley Center (Exact amount TBD: Approx. $340). This tangible benefit is not permitted to be claimed as a deduction under IRS guidelines. Parking location is not differentiated for holders of different seating levels; hence, the benefit for parking is the same at all levels. However many seats the ticket holder purchases, they still receive a single parking pass; again the benefit is the same at all levels.

2. Blue & Gold Fund donations for each preferred season ticket purchased have a quid pro quo discount of 20% in accord with the IRS 80/20 rule. In other words, 80% of the cost of each preferred seat donation minus the cost of each parking pass is the appropriate tax deduction amount.

Example: You purchase two preferred seats with a $3,000 Blue & Gold Fund donation each. The tax deduction will be the $6,000 Blue & Gold Fund donation minus the cost of the parking pass ($340) multiplied by 80%. You would be allowed $4,528 in tax deductions.
