Golden Eagle Mascot Tryouts

Welcome to Adobe GoLive 6

Are you energetic, spirited, athletic, friendly, and have a love for sports? If so don?t miss out on Golden Eagle Mascot tryouts!

The Golden Eagle is a prominent figure at Marquette, forever supporting his teams, bringing smiles to young and old and continually uplifting all who meet him. The Golden Eagle cheers at home men?s and women?s soccer games, home volleyball games, and home men?s and women?s basketball games. The Eagle will occasionally need to travel for away men?s or women?s basketball games including post-season tournaments. Since the Eagle is a popular figure at Marquette, periodic appearances at university sponsored events are a requirement as well. The Golden Eagle is a member of the Marquette Spirit Squad which consists of two cheerleading squads, the dance team "Intensity", and the Marquette Pep Band.

We encourage all undergraduate students and incoming freshman to tryout. We are looking for outgoing and energetic individuals who have a love for Marquette sports and feel comfortable performing in front of a large crowd. Being the Marquette Golden Eagle is a paid job and requires a flexible schedule. During the summer the Marquette Athletics Department sends all mascots to mascot camp in order to learn new skills and interact with other mascots. The number of mascots chosen will be based on how many people tryout.

Tryouts will be held at the Marquette Gym on April 13th beginning at 6:00 p.m. To reserve your tryout time please call Julie May at 414-288 -6018. Tryouts will consist of an interview and performing in the Golden Eagle costume.
