Manual Resistance Neck Extension

Muscles Used Primary: neck extensors
Starting Position lying on a bench or table with your neck muscles in a relaxed position (chin to the chest).
Description Extend your head looking upward, hold this position for at least one count then, recover to the starting position.
Spotting CAUTION! The spotter must be extremely cautious to avoid possible injury to the lifter. Straddling over the lifter apply resistance to the back of the head with both hands.
Points To Emphasize 1. If the exercise is properly performed, you should not be able to raise the weight of your head on the last repetitions
