Marquette Student-Athletes Join Class of 2013

MILWAUKEE - Close to 30 Marquette University student-athletes are now proud members of MU's Class of 2013, after spending the past weekend enjoying the University's various commencement activities and receiving their degrees in multiple commencement ceremonies on campus.

Members of women's lacrosse, men's track and field, women's track and field, women's soccer, men's soccer, and men's and women's basketball represented the Golden Eagles this weekend as they concluded their respective athletic and academic careers at MU.

The Golden Eagles enjoyed academic success in the 2012-13 season as 201 of 282 (71 percent) of student-athletes on spring squad lists had GPAs of over 3.0 for the term. Of the 282 student-athletes at MU, 180 (64 percent) maintained cumulative GPAs of over 3.0.
