Marquette Wins Three Marketing Awards

MILWAUKEE - The National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) has selected its 2005-06 award winners and Marquette claimed three awards.

Marquette won the gold medal for its radio commercial campaign for men's basketball. The campaign to solicit season tickets took a silver medal and the department won a bronze medal for its newspaper advertising campaign.

The award in season tickets marks the third straight year that Marquette has received an award in that category.

Creative and design work was done by Zizzo Group Advertising and Public Relations in Milwaukee.

Gold, silver and bronze awards were presented to schools in each of 16 marketing and promotional categories.

NACMA is administered by NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Athletic Directors), now in its 41st year, is the professional and educational association for more than 6,100 college athletics administrators at more than 1,600 institutions throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. More than 2,000 athletics administrators annually attend the NACDA Convention. Additionally, NACDA administers nine professional associations for the separate business units that report directly to the athletics director.
