Visit Marquette.edu For Breaking Athletics News Fourth Of July Weekend
July 1, 2010
Milwaukee - Over the coming holiday weekend, CBS College Sports (CBSC) will be moving its core infrastructure to a data center in Los Angeles that ranks as one of the most prominent technology facilities in the Western U.S.
As a result of this move, CBSC will see a significant expansion of its core infrastructure environment and its network connectivity. This move will enable CBSC to better serve the Marquette University athletic department, and its constituents.
The effort will begin at approximately 3:01 a.m. ET Friday morning. CBSC expects the move to be completed within 24-36 hours - however, it may carry into Sunday, July 4. Throughout the move, GoMarquette.com will remain visible to the world, but there will be a few components of the site that will be unavailable or will not function. Access to core content such as headlines, schedules, bios, rosters and photos will not be interrupted.
Additionally, Marquette Athletics personnel will be unable to post new content to GoMarquette.com during this move. However, MU has arranged for real estate on Marquette.edu as a means for posting any breaking news that may develop during this down time. There may not be any news, but if there is, you can access it on the University's home page.
We thank you in advance for your understanding and patience, and wish everyone a fun and safe holiday weekend.
