Amplo and Hardin to Speak Wednesday during Mayor's Challenge

MILWAUKEE - Marquette Athletics is encouraging all Milwaukee residents to take part in Mayor Tom Barrett's Walk 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge, which includes a Wednesday, July 22 walk with the Mayor, beginning at the Milwaukee Public Library at 5:30 p.m.
Along the walk's route, Marquette head men's lacrosse coach Joe Amplo and deputy athletic director Brian Hardin will address the group at the proposed site of MU's recently announced athletic performance research center along the 700-800 blocks of W. Michigan Street. The pair is expected to address the importance of the new facility to area wellness, in addition to its impact on MU Athletics, at roughly 5:40 p.m.
Those looking to participate can meet at the Central Library and tour the Green Roof from 5-5:30 p.m. before the route takes walkers down to the NEWaukee Night Market on W. Wisconsin Avenue between N. Second and N. Fourth.
