MILWAUKEE -- Former Marquette University men's basketball star Dwyane Wade was a surprise guest Monday evening at the athletic department's annual Student-Athlete Welcome Back Dinner. The event, which was held on campus at the Alumni Memorial Union, was an introduction to the 2010-11 academic year. Coaches, administrators and support staff were also on hand.

Wade, who led the Golden Eagles to the 2003 Final Four and later was named MVP of 2006 NBA Championship, recalled his own personal experience as a freshman at Marquette and explained to the incoming class the importance of setting a good tone in their first year of college.
