Danielle Josetti is in her 15th year at Marquette and is a member of the athletic director's senior executive staff. She oversees the Office of Athletic Compliance, which works with student-athletes, coaches, administrators and others to educate and facilitate a culture of compliance and integrity for Marquette Athletics. In addition, she handles all Human Resource functions for the department.
In her role with the Golden Eagles, she also serves as the sport administrator for the nationally-prominent volleyball and men's lacrosse programs -- both of which won conference championships and earned the University's first-ever NCAA Tournament invitations under her watch.
In 2016, Josetti was awarded the IMLCA's "Extra Man" Award for her commitment to help in growing the sport of lacrosse and Marquette's program. The Portland, Oregon native was instrumental in helping to bring head coach Joe Amplo to Marquette, and has continued to push for the best support available for MU's coaches and student-athletes.
Josetti has served on several conference committees during her tenure, including the BIG EAST Tennis, BIG EAST Volleyball, and BIG EAST Lacrosse Committees. She serves as an NCAA Peer Reviewer for Athletic Certification and is also a member of the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators and National Association for Athletics Compliance. As a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance, Josetti served on the organization's Forecasting Committee. She has also served on several campus-wide committees, include being the lone athletic department administrator to be appointed to the search committee for the most recent Vice President and Director of Athletics.
Prior to Marquette, Josetti worked at her alma mater, Creighton University, as a Compliance Coordinator and External Operations Assistant. From 1997 until 2001, she served a dual role as assistant softball coach and assistant compliance coordinator.
A member of the Creighton softball team from 1995-1997, Josetti (formerly Fitzgerald) was a 1995 Academic All-Conference Team Honorable Mention selection. She still ranks among the program's top-10 career leaders in sacrifice hits and stolen bases and topped the roster in sacrifice hits in 1995 and 1996. She also owns the top spot in the single-season stolen bases category. Josetti earned a bachelor of arts in journalism from Creighton in 1997. Prior to her enrollment at Creighton, Josetti attended Clackamas Community College in Oregon City, Oregon for a year. While there she was a member of the softball team where she still holds the single season steals record with 35. Josetti was the first softball player inducted into Clackamas' Hall of Fame in June of 2012.
Josetti earned her master's degree in leadership studies, with a specialization in sports leadership, from Marquette University, in 2013.
She resides in New Berlin, Wis. with her husband, Jake, and daughters Payton (9) and Lauren (8).
