Emily Baseheart enters her second year as Director for Development for Marquette athletics, and her fourth year with Marquette University. Baseheart is responsible for all fundraising functions for the athletic department.
Baseheart began her career at Marquette as Assistant Director of Development Annual Giving, working with Marquette alumni on the East Coast, and leading all fundraising efforts for Marquette University's Les Aspin Center for Government in Washington, D.C.
A member of the UW-Milwaukee NCAA Division I women's swim team from 2002-2006, Baseheart (nee Holcomb) was a 20-time Horizon League finalist and four-year letter winner. Baseheart was also a two-year team captain and President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. In 2006, Baseheart was awarded the Herman Kluge Senior Student-Athlete Award for her commitment to academic excellence, athletic achievement and community involvement.
Baseheart resides in Milwaukee with her husband, Josh, who competed for UW-Milwaukee as a member of the men's swim team from 2000-2004.
