Alex Evans is entering her third season at Marquette as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. Evans is responsible for sport specific strength and conditioning programs for both of Marquette's soccer teams as well as the women's tennis, men's golf and track and field teams. Prior to her time at Marquette, Evans served as an assistant at Yale University. She was responsible for the development and implementation of strength, agility and conditioning programs for Purdue's soccer lacrosse, softball, squash, golf and fencing teams. She was also responsible for assisting the implementation of programs for the track and football teams. A native of Norfolk, Conn., Evans earned a bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine from Norwich University, where she was a two-sport athlete -- a goaltender on the soccer team and a member of the swimming squad. She earned a Master's of Education from Springfield College in Applied Exercise Science -- Strength and Conditioning in 2005. |
