Stuart Roche enters his third season for Marquette University as an Assistant Director of Sports Performance. Roche's primary focus will be on the women's lacrosse and men's tennis teams.
Prior to joining Marquette, Roche worked as a Research Specialist in the Department of Orthopedic Research at Michigan. In this role, Roche investigated the structure of the muscle and tendon, along with its response to loading and injury. He is the co-author of five peer-reviewed research papers and the primary author of one.
Roche also served as the strength and conditioning coach for men's and women's rugby at Michigan, and was responsible for all facets of sports performance.
Roche also played rugby throughout his high school and collegiate career at home in the UK and overseas in the states.
Roche graduated from Loughborough University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in sport and exercise science. He also spent time studying abroad at Michigan.
Originally from Stamford, England, Roche lives in Greenfield with his wife Ariel.
