Cross Country Season Unofficially Opens On Saturday With Blue & Gold Alumni Race

Saturday, August 23 the Marquette cross country season unofficially opens as the "Blue and Gold Alumni Race" will be held at Bayview Park in St. Francis. All Marquette track and field and cross country alumni are invited and encouraged to participate in the two mile-long race. Festivities will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Senior guard Krystal Ellis was one of 25 players named to the "Wade Watch" list for the State Farm Wade Trophy Division I Player of the Year, announced Tuesday by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, on behalf of the Wade Coalition.

The 25-member list is made up of the top Division I student-athletes who best embody the spirit of Lily Margaret Wade according to the following criteria: game and season statistics, leadership, character, effect on their team and overall playing ability.

Over 700 kids of all ages took part in Marquette soccer's 2nd Annual Fest Fest, which took place Saturday at Valley Fields. Participants were treated to free food and games and free admission to watch the MU women's soccer team defeat Wisconsin 2-1 in an exhibition match and the men's soccer Blue vs. Gold intrasquad scrimmage.
