Adrienne Ridgeway is in her 13th year overall with Marquette and was promoted to Associate Athletic Director Academic Services & Student Programs in August of 2015 and now serves as the department's lead administrator.
Ridgeway works closely with the men's basketball team and women's and men's tennis teams in planning academic schedules, monitoring the progress and status of student-athletes, coordinating the NCAA Clearinghouse Program, assisting with the admissions process by evaluating high school and junior college transcripts and helping with new student orientation and personal academic counseling. In addition, she serves as the co-advisor to the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and oversees the NCAA Student Affairs programming for student-athletes. Ridgeway currently serves as the NACADA/NCAA Advisory Board Chair for the National Academic Advising Association.
Prior to Marquette, Ridgeway spent two years with the Milwaukee Public Schools as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Ridgeway ran track for four years at Howard University in Washington, D.C. and received her bachelor's of science in speech-language pathology in 2001. Her minor was sports administration. In 2003, she earned her master's degree in speech-language pathology while working as a graduate assistant to the athletics director in the Howard Athletics office. Ridgeway also holds a Master of Education in College Student Personnel Administration from Marquette.
A native of Milwaukee, she attended Nicolet High School in Glendale and currently resides in Brown Deer with her husband, LeVar, and their daughter, Brooke.
