[12:31 p.m.] This year is the Centennial Celebration of Women at Marquette. In 1909, MU became the first Catholic university in the world to offer coeducation as part of its regular undergraduate program and in 1924, Frances Baker baking the first female athletic director of the university.

Former Player Earns 700th Win, Tuesday's TV Information
[7:15 p.m.]Congratulations to former Marquette men's basketball player Jim Smith, who captured his 700th victory as a head coach Saturday night. Smith is the coach at Saint John's University in Minnesota, a NCAA Division III program.

Detroit Lions Rookie Matthew Stafford Reaches Milestone Last Recorded By Marquette's Buzz
Former Marquette football player and M Club Hall of Fame member Raymond '"Buzz" Buivid threw five touchdown passes in a single game for the the Chicago Cardinals in 1937, the last time a rookie had thrown five touchdowns in an NFL game. Buivid was the third overall pick by the Cardinals after finishing third in the 1936 Heisman Trophy balloting. That year, Buivid led Marquette to its only bowl appearance, a 16-6 loss to Sammy Baugh-led Texas Christian University in the first ever Cotton Bowl.
