Men's Basketball Meets With Media, Debuts Jordan Brand Shoes

Head coach Buzz Williams and selected players met with the media Thursday afternoon before practice in advance of the team’s lone exhibition contest Saturday afternoon against MSOE. NEW SHOES: While those in attendance at the Blue & Gold Fund Fish Fry were treated to a sneak peak of the Jordan Brand shoes to be worn by the team this season, the players didn’t see the shoes until after an early-morning workout on Thursday. The team will feature two versions of the new kicks as 2009-10 begins. Each pair, black and white, includes the “MU” primary logo.
REMEMBER THE TITANS?: The “Remember The Titans” introduction video featured prior to every home game has been updated and will feature a completely new look in 2009-10. The new video will debut before the season opener on Nov. 13, but GoMarquette.com will have a preview available beginning next week. REMEMBER THE BRADLEY CENTER?: Due to the team’s practice schedule and building availability, when MU takes to the Bradley Center court for shootaround Saturday morning it will mark the first time this Fall the squad has been able to utilize the facility. Marquette’s five newcomers will have to adjust to the new surroundings in time for the 1 p.m. opening tip against MSOE.
