[7:15 p.m.] The Marquette University men’s basketball team returned to Milwaukee shortly before 2 a.m. Monday morning and had little time to rest after spending the better part of a week in Orlando.

Some players were up for 8 a.m. classes while head coach Buzz Williams taped his weekly TV show following a breakfast meeting. The Golden Eagles did have the day off from practice, but were able to get together at The Annex Monday night for the program’s radio program and dinner.

Hayward Honored: Senior forward Lazar Hayward was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll following his efforts in four games last week. He averaged 22.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in those contests and collected his first double-double of the campaign in the matchup with Florida State.

National Polls: Following the team’s strong showing at the Old Spice Classic, the team received votes in both of the primary national polls. MU is 28th in the Associated Press Top-25 and owns the 32nd spot in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.
