Eric Schultz is in his first year as the Blue & Gold Fund Assistant at Marquette University. In his role, Schultz is responsible for running the weekly acknowledgement program as well as assisting the Blue & Gold Fund with special events, daily operations and assigned special projects.
Schultz previously worked as an assistant event manager for the University of New Mexico Athletic Department, where he oversaw the football, men's and women's basketball club and suite areas for Lobo game days. In addition to his event management duties with the Lobos, Schultz served as the graduate assistant for the Lobo Club, the development arm of UNM Athletics. He was also the public address announcer for baseball, softball, and men's and women's soccer
Prior to his stint in Albuquereque, Schultz spent two seasons as the student assistant video coordinator for the Iowa State football team. During his time at Iowa State, he was responsible for training new student employees, assisting in developing practice plans, and taping games and practices for the Cyclone coaching staff.
A native from Beaver Dam, Wis., Schultz was a scholarship athlete at Iowa State University as a tight end on the Cyclone football team. In 2009, he received his bachelor's degree in communication studies. He earned his master's of science in sport administration from New Mexico in 2010.
