Matching Gifts
Many companies and corporations provide matching gift programs for employee contributions.  As a contributor to Marquette Athletics, you can increase your level of giving by combining your contribution with a matching gift from your employer.  Ask your personnel office about your employer’s matching gift policy.  If your company matches gifts to Marquette, please enclose the matching gift form provided by your company with your contribution.

Athletic Endowments
Increasing and sustaining scholarship aid is an important priority at Marquette University.  Endowed athletic scholarships are essential in order to provide opportunities for student-athletes to achieve their academic and athletic goals.

An endowed scholarship provides a lasting stream of income because Marquette holds the gift in perpetuity, investing the principal and using a portion of the annual return to fund scholarship awards.  This provides permanent income for the scholarship support while increasing the endowment value.  For more information about this important initiative please visit GoMarquette.com or call the Blue & Gold Fund at 414-288-3988.

Gifts of Stock

A gift of long-term appreciated securities, either publicly traded or from a closely-held company, may provide you with greater tax advantages than a gift of cash. You may deduct the current fair market value as a charitable gift and completely avoid any capital gains tax on the appreciation. Planned Giving

Many donors have included Marquette athletics in their estate plans and enjoy recognition during their lifetimes.  Numerous creative vehicles exist to serve the donors and ensure that the future of Marquette athletics is secured such as establishing an endowed scholarship that is the beneficiary of planned giving vehicles.
