Methods Of Giving
Marquette University can accept donations via many different methods. Listed below are the most common through which you can make a gift. If you do not see the information you need, feel free to contact us at (414) 288-3988. Cash Gifts Gifts & Pledges Online Use Marquette's secure Online Pledge Form -- the easiest and quickest way to make your gift. Gifts & Pledges by Phone It's easy! Charge your gift on a MasterCard or Visa by phone at 414.288.3988. Please have the following information at hand:
Gifts & Pledges by Mail or Fax Download our giving form below and mail your gift or pledge to: Blue & Gold Fund
Or fax your pledge to the Blue & Gold Fund at (414) 288-5885 Blue & Gold Fund Pledge Form (PDF) Matching Gifts Athletic Endowments An endowed scholarship provides a lasting stream of income because Marquette holds the gift in perpetuity, investing the principal and using a portion of the annual return to fund scholarship awards. This provides permanent income for the scholarship support while increasing the endowment value. For more information about this important initiative please visit GoMarquette.com or call the Blue & Gold Fund at 414-288-3988. Gifts of Stock A gift of long-term appreciated securities, either publicly traded or from a closely-held company, may provide you with greater tax advantages than a gift of cash. You may deduct the current fair market value as a charitable gift and completely avoid any capital gains tax on the appreciation. You may download Marquette's Electronic Transfer of Stock Information Sheet below for instructions your broker will need to complete the transfer. Questions regarding gifts of stock can be directed to Amanda Mauch in Advancement Operations at 414.288.4467. Will Your Employer Match Your Gift? Find Out with CASE Search! With more donors making gifts online, Matching Gift Company Search 2.0 makes it easier for donors to increase the value of their gift by encouraging them to get it matched by their employer. If you have additional questions about gifts that may be matched by your employer, check with your human resources office, or call (414) 288-7945 for more information. Planned Giving Many donors have included Marquette athletics in their estate plans and enjoy recognition during their lifetimes. Numerous creative vehicles exist to serve the donors and ensure that the future of Marquette athletics is secured such as establishing an endowed scholarship that is the beneficiary of planned giving vehicles. Marquette Athletics works closely with the University’s Planned Giving Office to make sure every donor’s unique situation is fully recognized. For the kinds of estate planning opportunities available, including use of the Planned Giving Calculator, visit the official website. To discuss possible options for planned giving, please contact Paul McInerny, Associate Athletic Director, at (414) 288-0289 or at paul.mcinerny@marquette.edu. |
