2011-12: Indoor (Jr.): Franklin competed in three events during the indoor season, including eight times in the 60 meter dash ... Franklin competed at the Bill Bergan Invitational (Jan. 28) finishing sixth with a time of 7.86 ... Franklin also participated at the prestigious Meyo Invitational (Feb. 3) with a time of 7.92 placing 40th ... Finished second at the Badger Track Classic (Jan. 14) with a time of 7.99 and also finished second at the Milwaukee Dual (Jan. 20) meet with a time of 7.87 ... Also competed in the 200 meter run six times , including a personal best during the preliminary rounds of the BIG EAST Conference Indoor Championships with a time of 25.28, which is the fifth fastest in school history ... 2010-11: BIG EAST All-Academic Indoor (So.):Competed in the 60- and the 200-meter dashes, winning the 60 at the UWM Dual (7.78 seconds) and the 200 at the Blue and Gold Invitational (25.29)... Her 60-meter mark ranks sixth all-time and her 200 time sits at fifth on the all-time list ... Placed second (7.80 seconds) in final of the 60 at the Blue and Gold Invitational ... Ran the 60 and 200 at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships with times of 7.81 (21st, prelim) and 25.34 seconds (18th, prelim), respectively. Outdoor (So.): Competed at two meets during the outdoor season ... Notched a personal-best time of 24.53 seconds (No. 4 all-time) in the 200-meter dash at the USF Bulls Invitational on March 18.
2009-10: Marquette Women's Track & Field Freshman of the Year Indoor (Fr.):Had a very successful freshman campaign as the top sprinter for the Golden Ealges, moving into the top-10 in four different individual events...At the Hoosier Hills Invitational on Feb. 12, recorded the sixth-fastest time in school history in the 60-meter dash (7.87 seconds) to finish ninth...Also recorded the fifth-fastest time in the 200 at the Hoosier Hills with a 25.58 mark to finish 11th...Won the 200 in her first collegiate meet at the Blue & Gold Invitational on Dec. 4 (25.67 seconds). Outdoor (Fr.): During the outdoor season, recorded the third-fastest 100-meter time in Marquette history and the fourth-fastest 200-meter time...Reached a BIG EAST qualifying mark in every race during the outdoor season, except for one 100-meter dash at the dual meet vs. Milwaukee...Notched a freshman-record time of 11.92 seconds at the Lee Calhoun Invitational on April 10...Her personal-best time of 24.69 seconds in the 200 was recorded in a preliminary heat at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships on May 1...Competed in the 4x100, 4x400 and sprint medley relay during her freshman year.
High School: Franklin was a letterwinner in track and field...Holds a personal best in the 100m relay with a 11.96 senior year at conference... Also, finished strong with a personal best in the four by one relay with a 47.86 and in the four by two with a 1.41.00 time... Was a junior captain in 2007-2008 as well as a senior captain in 2008-2009...Earned most valuable player award... Also helped team win the state title in the four by two relay.... Was a conference title holder all four years in high school.
Personal: Franklin was born May 10, 1991 to Yvonne C. Davis and Charles D. Franklin in Milwaukee... Has five siblings, Lasherae, Cashanna, Mishalay, Shabonna, and Jeh'Mira... Plans to major in physical therapy.
