"Nicole made the move up in events and started running a few 800s as a senior. She really showed a talent for it and will make a fine addition to our 400-800 group. She has a good range and can run well in the 800, 400 and 200. Being able to train year round for her events should really help her make some big improvements."

High School: Ethier earned four letters in track and field at East Ridge High School where she was a two-time team captain and three-time all-conference performer ... Captured the 400-meter dash conference championship in 2010 and helped East Ridge to sectional championships in 2010 and 2011 ... Began running 800-meter run as a senior and set a PR of 2:17.88 ... Academic all-state selection ... Track and field team MVP as a sophomore, junior and senior ... All-state as the anchor of the 4x200-, 4x400- and 4x800-meter relays ... Held a personal best of 25.96 seconds in the 200 and 57.62 in the 400 ... Also competed as a soccer player and Nordic skier.
