BIG EAST All-Academic
Indoor (So.): Competed in the heptathlon, as well as being a multi-event competitor ... Topped all his competition at the BIG EAST Championships in the heptathlon for scoring 4815 points, as well as writing himself in the Marquette all-time history books as the fifth highest heptathlon score. During the BIG EAST Championships, Swanberg also placed first in the pole vault (4.80 meters/ 15-9 feet), high jump (1.88 meters/6-2 feet), long jump (6.38 meters/ 20-11.25 feet), 60-meter hurdles (8.61 seconds) and third in shot put (10.85 meters/ 35-7.25) ... Placed fifth in the pole vault at the Mark Messersmith Invitational after clearing 4.45 meters (14-7.25 feet) ... Landed a fifth place finish at the John Tierney Quadrangular for his high jump of 1.79 meters (5-10.5 feet) ... Placed in the top-five, fifth place, at the Blue & Gold Invitational in pole vaulting for a height of 4.20 meters (13-9.25 feet).
Outdoor (So.):  Had all top-five finishes at the BIG EAST Championships as he finished third in the 110 hurdles at 15.38, third in pole vault for a height of 4.51 meters (14-9.5 feet) and fifth in javelin throw by a distance of 53.27 meters (174-9 feet).

Indoor (Fr.): Swanberg participated as a multi-event athlete, otherwise competing mainly in 60-meters hurdles and pole vault ... Earned all-conference honors in three events and won the 60-meter hurdles and the heptathlon at the BIG EAST meet ... Finished first with a time of 8.50 running 60-meter hurdles at the BIG EAST Championships (Feb. 22), landing the fifth all-time mark at Marquette ... Set a personal-best and fifth best jumpat Marquette in the pole vault with a height of 4.60 meters (15 feet, 1 inch) at the BIG EAST meet(Feb. 21) to place in third ... Placed second in the long jump with a distance of 6.52 meters (21 feet, 4.75 inches) at the UWM Triangular (Jan. 17) ... With a first-place finish, registered both the freshman record and fourth all-time at Marquette with a score of 4485 at the BIG EAST championship (Feb 21/22).
Outdoor (Fr.): In his freshman season was a multi-event participant competing mainly in 110-meter hurdles and pole vault ... Placed second with a personal-best time of 15.32 running the 110 hurdles at the BIG EAST Championships (May 11) ... Won a BIG EAST title(May 10) with a height of 4.70 meters (15 feet, 5 inches) in the pole vault ... Set the freshman pole vault record and the second-best height at Marquette of 4.75 meters (15 feet, 7 inches) at the USF Invitational (March 14) ... High School: Swanberg was a four-year letter winner in track and field at Lincoln-Way Central High School ... Was team captain as a senior in 2013 ... Earned the 2012 team MVP award ... Broke his foot midway through his senior year and was unable to compete during the outdoor championship season ... Holds a personal best in the pole vault of 14 feet, 9 inches, which helped him place 13th at the IHSA Boys Class AAA State Finals in 2012 as a junior ... Ran the 55-, 60- and 110-meter hurdles during his high school career.
