2010-11 BIG EAST All-Academic Indoor (Fr.): Ran the indoor 300- and 400-meter dashes, and the 500-meter run, finishing with top times of 42.73 (Milwaukee Dual, Jan. 22), 59.01 (Bill Bergan Invitational, Jan. 29), and 1:16.44 (No. 5 all-time) (Meyo Invitational, Feb. 5), respectively ... Triple jumped at the Panther Invitational (Feb. 18), reaching 34 feet, 1.25 inches (10.39 meters)... Competed in the 500-meter run (16th (prelim)/1:17.03) and the 4x400-meter relay (3:53.91) at the 2011 BIG EAST Indoor Championships. Outdoor (Fr.): Notched the No. 5 outdoor mark (56.88 seconds) in MU history in the 400-meter dash at the Lee Calhoun Invitational (April 9) ... Finished 24th in her preliminary heat with a time of 57.91 seconds at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships in the 400 ... Also ran once in the 200 at the Beach Invitational (April 16) where she ran a time of 26.62 seconds.
High School: Hein earned four letters in track and field at Notre Dame Academy and was named to the all-conference team in the triple jump, long jump, 400-meter dash and the 4x400-meter relay as a junior in 2009. She helped the Tritons to their first division II state championship in girls track and field in 2010 and individually placed second in the 400 and fifth in the triple jump. She also helped the team to a regional and Fox River Classic Conference Championship in 2009. Holds personal records of 57.09 seconds in the 400 and 36 feet, 3 inches in the triple jump. Hein was also a member of the varsity dance time during her time at Notre Dame.
