"Max is a Milwaukee boy and I've had my eye on him for a few years. Max has a wealth of raw talent and will develop into one of the best high jumpers that Marquette has seen in its history. At 6'6", Max is tall with a lot of jumping ability, which he has developed over time as one of the premier volleyball players in the state of Wisconsin. With some track-specific training and technique work under his belt, he will prove to be a strong competitor at both the BIG EAST and national levels."

High School: Kilpin earned three letters in track and field at Wauwatosa East High School ... Earned indoor and outdoor conference championships in the high jump as both a junior and senior ... Three-time state outdoor qualifier ... Placed sixth in the high jump at the WIAA Division I state meet as a senior and eighth as a sophomore ... Sectional and regional high jump champion as a senior ... Holds a person-best mark of 6 feet, 9 inches in the indoor high jump and holds both the indoor and outdoor school records ... Played volleyball for final three years at East, earning first team all-state honors as a senior ... Member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Kilpin was born in Milwaukee to Rick and Trish Kilpin and has a younger brother, Miles ... Plans to major in exercise science and is a direct admit to the physical therapy program.
