Among Marquette's six athletes headed to the NCAA West Regional, Kyle Winter, Sarah MacCourtney and Jack Hackett are nearing the end of their collegiate careers - they look to save their best performances for last in Austin, Texas May 23-25.
This week's Marquette Track and Field Performances of the Week feature seniors Jack Hackett and Sarah MacCourtney, who turned in career-best performances while in California.

Indoor- High Jump: 5-5.25/1.66 meters (No. 6 all-time at MU)
Outdoor- High Jump: 5-7/1.70 meters (No. 4 all-time at MU)
2011-12: BIG EAST All-Academic Indoor (So.): MacCourtney focused in on the high jump during the indoor season, competing in the event seven times ... Set a personal-best jump of 5-05.25 (1.66 meters) at the Hoosier Hills Invitational, (Feb. 10) which is the sixth-best in program history ... Won both the Milwaukee Dual (Jan. 20) meet and the Panther Tune-up (Feb. 17) ... Posted a second-place finish at the Badger Track Classic (Jan. 14) with a mark of 5-05.00 (1.65 meters)...2012 Indoor Performance List. Outdoor (Jr.): MacCourtney focused on the high jump again in the outdoor season, participating in the event nine times ... Set a personal-best mark of 5-07.00 (1.70 meters) when she won the Lee Calhoun Invitational (April 14), which is the fourth best in program history ... Finished sixth at the Bulls Invitational (March 16) notching a mark of 5-06.00 (1.68 meters) and finished seventh at the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 20) with a mark of 5-05.00 (1.65 meters) ... 2010-11: BIG EAST All-Academic Indoor (Fr.): High jumped 5-0.25 (1.63 meters) at the Meyo Invitational, the 10th-best indoor height at MU. Outdoor (So.):Placed second in the high jump and notched the No. 5 outdoor mark with a height of 5 feet, 4 1/4 inches at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational (April 2) ... Also recorded top-three outdoor finishes at the DePaul Invitational (April 16/second) and Lee Calhoun Invitational (April 8/third).
2009-10: BIG EAST All-Academic Indoor: Did not compete during the indoor season after joining the team into the fall semester. Outdoor (Fr.): Established herself by the end of the outdoor campaign as the second-best option in the high jump following senior school-record holder Erynn James...Reached a BIG EAST outdoor-qualifying height of 5 feet, 6 inches (1.68 meters) at the SIU Spring Classic to finish third.
High School: MacCourtney was a four-time letter winner in track and field at Lutheran High School Northwest ... Held a personal-best jump of 5 feet, 6 inches ... Captured the Michigan Division 4 State Championship in the high jump in 2008 and 2009 ... Was the state runner-up as a sophomore in 2007 ... National Honor Society member...Named track team captain as a junior ... Given the senior athlete of the year award and the underclass athlete of the year award as a junior ... Earned three letters in basketball and garnered all-state recognition as a senior.
