2009-10: Competed in the 60-, 200- and 400-meter dashes during the indoor season...Reached BIG EAST marks twice during the indoor season with a top time of 22.09 seconds in his preliminary heat at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships...Finished ninth in the finals of the 200 at the BIG EAST Indoor...Did not compete during the outdoor campaign.
2008-09: Bested his school recordin the 200m with a time of 21.87 at Alex Wilson Invitational...Took first in the 200m at the Notre Dame Invitational with a BIG EAST qualifying time of 22.28... Ran an indoor season best time of 7.19 in the 60m...Took third overall in the 60m at the Wisconsin Elite Invitational with a time of 7.20...Placed seventh overall at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships with a time of 22.16...Ran BIG EAST qualifying times in both the 100m and 200m in each race ran prior to the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships...Took fifth overall in the 200m at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships...Bested his personal record in the 400m at the Georgia Relays, finishing in 49.08...Ran an outdoor season best time in the 200m finishing in 21.49.
2007-08: Had an outstanding freshman season, ranking as one of the top sprinters in Marquette history...Currently holds the fastest MU indoor times in the 60- (6.94 seconds), 200- (21.98) and 300-meter dashes (34.73)...Holds outdoor records in the 200 (21.23) and as a member of 4x100-meter relay team (41.57), along with Antonio Jones, Nick Van Deraa and Ray Bratchett...Also owns the freshman record in the 100 (10.55), being topped only by 1932 and `36 Olympian Ralph Metcalfe (10.44) in MU history...Competed in both the 100 and 200 at the USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships...In first ever collegiate meet, set the indoor school record in the 60 and the 200 at the Notre Dame Blue and Gold Invitational, winning the 60 with a time of 6.94, while placing second in the 200 with a time of 21.98...Placed second at the Badger Track Classic in the 60 with a time of 7.04 in the finals...Finished fifth in the 60 and third in the 200 at the Notre Dame Invitational...At the Meyo Invitational recorded a school indoor record time of 34.73 in the 300m...Took seventh in the 200m at the Indiana Relays...Competed in the 60, 200 and 4x400 relay at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships, recording a sixth place finish in the 200m...At the Baldy Castillo Invitational, the first meet of the outdoor season, O'Brien placed fourth in the 100m with a time of 10.97 seconds and helped the 4x100 relay team win the event in 41.62 seconds to set the school record which they would later break...Recorded a then-freshman record in the 200 at the Missouri Relays with a first place finish and a time of 21.56 seconds, also won the 400m in 49.99 seconds...Took third in the 200 at the Iowa Invitational...Recorded the second-best time in Marquette history in the 100 at the Marquette Twilight Meet, winning the event in 10.55 seconds...His time at in the 100 qualified him for the USA Track and Field Junior Championships...Finished fourth in the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships in the 200 with a time of 21.41 seconds in the finals, also competed in the 100, where he failed to place and the 4x100m relay where MU recorded an eighth-place finish...Finished fourth at the Wisconsin Twilight meet in the 200 and ran the second leg for his 4x100-meter relay team, which set the school outdoor record in 41.57 seconds...Set the Marquette outdoor record in the 200m at the Cardinal Twilight on May 17 with a time of 21.23 seconds to qualify him for the NCAA Mid-East Regional and the USA Junior Championships...Ran a time of 21.40 seconds in the 200m at the NCAA Mid-East Regional in Fayetteville, Ark.
