Rick Bellford recently completed his fourth season with the Marquette University track and field program in 2016-17, where he coaches the jumpers and multi-event athletes.

Bellford has elevated the program since his arrival in 2013, guiding Marquette jumpers and multi-event athletes to 28 BIG EAST titles during indoor and outdoor competition combined, which has led to four-straight BIG EAST champoinships for the women and a 2016 men's outdoor championship to go along with three runner-up finishes. After he claimed his second-straight outdoor title in 2016, Bellford recruited Daniel Armstrong, who swept both indoor/outdoor crowns in the event in 2017.

On the women's side, Monique Felix has dominated her field in her first two seasons, claiming back-to-back pentathlon and heptathlon titles at the BIG EAST meets, to go along with a 2017 outdoor high jump title. She was named BIG EAST Field Performer at both the 2016 indoor and outdoor meets as well as the 2017 indoor champioships. After claiming two event titles at the 2017 BIG EAST Outdoors, she earned High Point Scorer of the Meet (28.0 points).
