Also notched a second-place finish in 4:14.38 at the Milwaukee Dual (Jan. 22), finishing just behind former high school teammate Jack Hackett in the event ... Did not compete during the outdoor season.
High School: Ross was a four-time letterwinner in both cross country and track and field at Port Washington High School...Served as cross country captain as a senior...Helped the Pirates earn state the 2007 state track championship at the division II state meet...Earned state titles in the 1,600-meter run and the 4x800-meter relay...In 2007, also helped Port Washington claim the cross country state title...Earned second team all-state in cross country in 2007 (fourth overall at the state meet) and first team honors in 2008 (second overall)...Captured state title in the 4x800m relay...Part of squads which earned North Shore Conference Championships in outdoor track (2008) and cross country (2006-07)...Earned conference championships in the 1,600m (2007-08), 3,200m (2008) and 4x1,600m relay (2007-08)...At the Nike Outdoor Nationals in 2008, helped 4x1 mile relay squad finish fifth, to earn all-America honors...Ran in high school with current MU teammate Jack Hackett...Holds a personal best in the 1,600m of 4:11.79 and in the 800m of 1:51.87. Personal: Ross was born on Nov. 17, 1990 in West Allis, Wis...He is the oldest of two children to Michael and Mary...plans to major in engineering. |
