Pashibin and Hardin hit BIG EAST marks

At the Badger Track Classic, Tate Pashibin took the high jump title while Brett Hardin added a BIG EAST qualifying mark in the weight throw.

Assistant Coach Nick Davis on Pashibin:
"`Tate' is likely one of the most decorated jumpers to join Marquette's women's track and field team. Her talent level is very high and she still has a lot of room for development, especially in the horizontal jumps. Her PR of 5'8" in the high jump puts her very close to other jumpers at the national level as well. She is a proven big meet performer and I have no doubt that she will develop into a strong BIG EAST contender."

High School: Pashibin earned three letters in track and field at Southwest High School in Minneapolis, Minn. ... Served as team captain during her sophomore and senior seasons ... Won state title in the high jump as both a junior and senior, while also earning runner-up honors in the triple jump both seasons and in the long jump as a senior ... Four-time all-city performer ... Notched personal bests at Southwest of 5 feet, 8 inches in the high jump, 37 feet, 9 1/2 inches in the triple jump and 17 feet 8 3/4 inches in the long jump ... Height of 5-8, recorded at the state meet as a junior, was a top-40 mark in the United States in 2011 ... Also earned a pair of letters in gymnastics as a sophomore and junior, while earning All-America honors.
