Took first place at the John Tierney Quadrangular in the pole vault (4.50 meters/14-9) ... Placed second at the UW Parkside Classic (February 6) and Blue & Gold Invitational (December 4) ... Fifth place at the Mark Messersmith Invitational (4.45 meters/14-7.25).
Outdoor (So.): Took first place in the pole vault at the BIG EAST Championships and set a school record with a height of 4.91 meters/16-1.25, also his personal-best ... Prior to Marquette: Transfer to Marquette from the University of Denver, after one year in which he did not compete in track and field ... Ford earned four letters in track and field at McHenry West High School ... Fifth-place finisher at the 2013 Class 3A IHSA state meet as a senior with a top height of 15 feet ... Sectional champion as a senior ... Medaled at conference meet during his final two years in high school ... Member of two conference and county championship teams at McHenry ... Also competed in the AAU Junior Olympics in the trampoline and power tumbling and won two gold medals and one silver medal.
