Top Marks Set at Bryan Clay Invitational in California

Three all-time list marks and several personal-bests were set on the second full day in California as the Marquette University men’s and women’s track and field teams competed at the Bryan Clay Invitational and BEACH Invitational.

Terica Harris set the No. 2 mark all-time in school history in the triple jump with an outdoor personal-best of 12.30 meters (40 feet, 4.25 inches).

Joshua Word, who raced to a school-record as the opening leg on the 4x100-meter relay team and a personal-best in the 100-meter dash, sprinted to another personal-best today in the 200 meters. His time of 21.54 seconds ranks as No. 4 all-time at MU. Jay Whalen was close behind with a personal-best of 22.25 seconds.

Alex Goodrich set a personal-best in the 400-meter hurdles for the second day in a row with a time of 1:04.01. It was more than a full second quicker than her previous-best and ranks No. 6 all-time at Marquette.

In the women’s 100-meter dash, Madison Marko ran a new lifetime best of 12.58 seconds, while, on the men’s side, Connor Boos broke 11 seconds with a time of 10.97.

Nicholas Ebert ran a season-best in the 400 meters with a time of 49.33 seconds, while Greg Suarez turned in a personal-best of 1:55.89 in the 800 meters.



In the women’s high jump, Omo Tseumah registered a season-best mark of 1.68 meters (5 feet, 6 inches).

Will Wolf equaled a personal-best set yesterday in the triple jump with a mark of 14.71 meters (48 feet, 3.25 inches).

The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Saturday for the final day of competition at The Beach Invitational hosted by Long Beach State.
