La Crosse, Wis. - The Marquette men's and women's track & field team competed in the UW-L Last Chance Meet in La Crosse, Wis., and the Gregory Invitational in Naperville, Ill., Thursday evening.

Kyle Saginus finished 24th in the 5,000m in a time 15:03.82.

Drew Craig, competing in the 10,000m for the second time this season, finished eighth in a time of 31:39.75.

Sean Aldridge competed in the pole vault, but he was unable to clear his opening height.

Elizabeth Wilke competed for the women, also in the pole vault, but was unable to clear her opening height.

Jenna Mahaffey, Rachael Thiel and Kelly Corcoran competed in the weight events at the UW-L Last Chance Meet. Mahaffey finished third in the shot put with a toss of 43-9.75, fourth in the discus with a throw of 144-6 and seventh in the hammer throw with a mark of 156-0.

Thiel finished eighth (41-5.75) in the shot and Corcoran finished 10th (40-5.5). Thiel also competed in the discus, placing 12th with a throw of 124-2.

Day two of the Gregory Invitational begins Friday at 3 p.m. with the long jump.
