Track & Field Teams Conclude Day Two of Gregory Invitational

NAPERVILLE, ILL. - The Marquette men's and women's track & field team concluded the scheduled portion of their 2007 outdoor season, Friday, at the Gregory Invitational in Naperville, Ill. Michaela Courtney, in her final tune-up before the 1,500m NCAA Mid-East Regional, May 25, competed in the 800m, finishing third in a career-best time of 2:10.33. Katlin Millin also competed in the 800m, finishing sixth in a time of 2:11.93 to reclaim the freshman record from teammate Dani Owen. Owen ran 2:12.78 at the Dr. Keeler Invitational last weekend, breaking Millin's previous freshman record of 2:13.47, set earlier this season. On the men's side, T.J. Hodgson finished second in the high jump, clearing the bar at 6-6. Readying himself for the 5,000m at the NCAA Mid-East Regional, Scott Mueller took on the 1,500m, finishing in fourth place in a time of 3:50.9. Michael O'Brien placed third in the 400m hurdles in a time of 53.83. Only six others in Marquette history have run faster in the event.
