EUGENE, Ore. -Four current Golden Eagles and a future track and cross country runner competed over the weekend at the 2009 USA Junior Track & Field National Championships.

Patrick Keeley recorded the top finish among Marquette's competitors, placing fifth in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 31:55.66.

In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Courtney Kelly and Kate Horan placed sixth and ninth, respectively. Kelly had a time of 11:25.61 and Horan finished in 11:32.68.

Lauren Benjamin placed 18th in the javelin with a toss of 34.56 meters (113 feet, 5 inches).

Incoming recruit Spencer Agnew also had an impressive showing in the 5,000 meters, finishing tenth in a field of 25 with a time of 15:10.12.
